Job description:

As an IBM Sales Technical Associate, you will play a key role in supporting our sales/technical sales team in delivering innovative solutions to our clients. This internship opportunity is for recent engineering school graduates who have a strong technical background and a strong interest in sales and customer engagement. You will work with seasoned professionals, gain hands-on experience in understanding customer needs, customizing technical solutions, and contribute to IBM's success in the marketplace.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Technical Solution Development: Collaborate with the broader technical team to understand customer requirements and leverage IBM products and services to address specific solution challenges

Growth Mindset: Ability and desire to apply technology/product to solutions by quickly reading guidance documents Demonstrate strong analytical problem-solving skills combined with a keen desire to learn to develop quality code in an agile process

Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the IBM product portfolio, stay current on the latest enhancements and technologies, and effectively communicate their benefits to potential customers. Also build competitive knowledge for assigned product portfolio.

Sales Support: Provide technical expertise during pre-sales activities, including product demonstrations, presentations and workshops, to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of IBM solutions.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, solution proposals, and technical documentation to facilitate seamless communication within the team and ensure a well-documented sales process.

Education and Skills:

Students from E-Schools with a bachelor's/master's degree in Computer Engineering.

Strong technical aptitude and passion for technology, demonstrated by academic achievements and relevant projects.

Strong affinity for technology and the ability to self-direct to build a deep level of technical skills.

Knowledge of at least one coding/scripting language, at least the basics

Should have good problem solving and analytical skills

Communication for a good choice of elevators, because we deal a lot with customers

Understand/advise on public cloud offerings (compute, networking, storage, security, etc.)

Understanding of Microservices architecture and should be able to deploy applications in Kubernetes and troubleshoot deployment issues, advise clients on best practices

Flair for Experiential selling so you can co-create using hands-on sales methods such as: demos, custom demos, proofs of concept, minimum viable products (MVPs) or other technical proofs

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

Collaborative mindset, eager to work in cross-functional teams and contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Customer-centric approach with a strong understanding of how technology can solve real business challenges.
